Sam was instrumental in helping the Diocese of Savannah become one of the top “vocation dioceses” in the country, with the second-highest number of ordinations per capita of any diocese, as reported in the National Catholic Register (Jan 14, 2007). He served for eight years as Vice President of Catholic Stewardship Consultants, Inc., overseeing the production of Catholic educational materials and managing multi-year engagements with parishes. His writings have appeared in over 300,000 Catholic homes, and he has given over 50 presentations to priests and parish leaders throughout the United States. Vianney Vocations was borne out of Sam's success in the Diocese of Savannah, his expertise in Catholic communication, and his strong belief that many more men will be drawn to the priesthood if properly engaged with a compelling message. Sam holds degrees in English Literature and writing and has completed two years of graduate-level coursework in philosophy and Catholic theology. He lives in Valdosta, GA with his wife Michele, daughters Suzie, Sophia, and Anastasia and son Simon. He is a member of St. John the Evangelist Church where he serves as the Stewardship Committee Chair. |

Sam Alzheimer, the founder of Vianney Vocations, is an expert in Catholic communications and has worked with over 200 parishes and dioceses in the United States since 1996.
